The Lords of 2112: The Poignantly Vulgar & Vulgarly Poignant Chronicle of America's Future by Daniel Marion Mitchell Jr.Trafford PublishingIn the year 2112, America has degenerated into a world of savages, destroyed by attacks from the heinous Muslim Republic of Nations and backstabbed by China and the United Nations. The only protection for decent Class One cistizens is within the protective walls of the few remaining technologically advanced cities. Humans are now catagorized by their genetic code into classes of human and sub-species, the HIV-infected, slave labor for the Federated Cities of America that are ruled by their own iron-fisted City Lord. But now, the American cities have a new technology to exact a deadly revenge upon the Muslims and cleanse the world's DNA codes forever! Perhaps the Poignantly Random Rambling of a Hollywood Extra? by Dan HagoodPublishAmericaEntertaining, informative, funny, thought provoking, and possibly even controversial are all words that could very aptly describe what’s an extremely enjoyable read. This sort of “fly on the wall” perspective of the film and television industry brings to life, in a very unique way, a world our modern American culture, for better or worse, can’t seem to get enough of. What’s it like for just your average, everyday person, who has no special knowledge of the business, to spend the day on the set of a movie or hit television show working with everyone’s favorite celebrities? It’s fun and exciting! There’s no question, and the author makes you feel like you’re right there with him. However, it won’t take you long to realize there’s a lot more to it than that too, and in the end it may be the “everything else” that truly makes this story worth reading. |
